Kimberly Mullen

FOUNDER, NELLUM & CO

As the founder of NELLUM & Co, Kimberly Mullen believes that information is abundant today but insight is not, striving to bring together analytical rigor, entrepreneurial experience, and a lifelong interest and insight in institutions, systems, human behavior, and the forces shaping a rapidly changing world.

She is a strategist, entrepreneur, and interdisciplinary researcher whose work sits at the intersection of political theory, international affairs, political economy, technology, and human behavior. Her work examines how institutions, individuals, and technological change shape power, decision-making, and the future of governance and society.

Her career spans global asset management, international business, policy, transnational security, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. She previously held roles at Bridgewater Associates and Bloomberg L.P./Geller & Co., served as a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and held a research fellowship with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe in Prague and Vienna. She holds a B.A. in International Studies, with minors in Political Science and Psychology, from The Ohio State University, and an M.S. in Global Affairs, concentrating in Transnational Security, from New York University. She studied History & Politics Summer School at the University of Oxford, and completed Executive Education in Artificial Intelligence and Business Strategy at MIT. She is also a writer and creative practitioner, with training at Yale University and the American University of Paris, and was a writer-in-residence at Château d’Orquevaux in France.
